  • Of all the creatures in the deep, none are as cunning or smart as the Nautiloid. Many predators really on their brute strength or speed to catch prey but the Nautiloid prefers to use its sizable intellect to hunt. Cezorian scholars have witnessed several different hunting strategies employed by the Nautiloid, each more cunning then the last. From hiding within tight passageways and lashing out at unsuspecting morsels, to burrowing themselves inside the rotting husks of larger fish and catching the fresh bottom feeders that approach such a buffet. It was this very same cunning that made perfect candidates for Viselius' army.

Many of Viselius' beasts of war require the direct input of a Corsair operator to fulfill the role that Viselius' demands of them. Without their operators for example, Tortogals would sooner hide in their shells then act as the living siege engines they were meant to be. With their vast intellect however, Nautiloids are able to operate fairly independently on the field of battle and are even capable of handling weaponry with their tentacles. The latter is only achievable after intense conditioning and mind reconstruction at the hands of the Tide Sages. Even so, a unarmed Nautiloid can still wreck untold havoc on enemy lines with its barbed tentacles and snapping beak. To assist them in above water combat, the Quartermasters of the Tide Haunters designed propulsion thrusters to allow Nautiloids to move on the surface. These thrusters are linked directly to the brain of the beast itself and allow it to move freely in the air as it does in the sea.

The Nautiloids preform another function in addition to providing fire support. As one of the few 'flight' capable creatures in Viselius' arsenal, Nautiloids have the second duty of resupplying and reinforcing combat zones. Large cargo nets are affixed to the back of their shells and are packed with munitions, bombs, and occasionally, swarms of small crustaceans. Many victories have been won due to timely carpet bombings from swarms of Nautiloids, and this coupled with their ferocity and power, makes them invaluable to the Tide Haunters.

  • During a routine infiltration by a unit of Iteru Deadshots, the hateful aliens sniffed out the secretive snipers before they could execute their plans and ambushed them in the night. The unit of Deadshots retreated and barricaded themselves in a nearby robotics lab, desperate to form a plan. In the dwindling moments of their impending doom, the last three surviving snipers combined their bodies, minds, and weapons to form the first Deadshot Hexannhilator. With three legs, six guns, and the rage of the entire Miles, the Deadshot Hexannhilator laid waste to the aliens as they burst through the barricades.

  • Ever since discovering the awesome mind-expanding powers of the Hex Crystals, the Star Pharaohs had long suspected that there was something more to the wondrous minerals that gave them their sentience. There was, after all, nothing quite like them in the galaxy: They had properties of conductivity, computational acceleration, matter manipulation, and even, as exhibited by the organic life-forms occasionally captured and experimented upon by the Star Pharaohs, psycho-activity.

Additionally, unlike other materials found in the Miles, they seemed to exhibit a preference for how their energies should be directed. For military applications, especially those involving the recovery of Hex Crystals across the galaxy, the Star Pharaohs were never lacking in Hex Energy when engaging with the enemy. For applications of philosophy, art, and leisure, the Hex Crystals were practically as inert as stones, as if unwilling to yield their powers to such trifling matters.

In an effort to get to the bottom of this mystery, the Star Pharaohs began the Hexalith Project. The task was to focus and refine an enormous amount of Hex Energy so the true nature of the Crystals could be revealed.

The entire population of the Star Pharaohs gathered in the Miles Amphitheater to witness powering-on of the first Hexalith. With great pomp and ritual, the Star Pharaohs turned on the Hexalith- and in so doing uncovered a secret that had been hidden for tens of billions of years.

The visages of six enormous crystalline beings leapt forth from the Hexalith like a magnificent holographic projector. Animal-headed, divinely proportioned, and towering over the Star Pharaohs, the six beings spoke as one to the gathered crowd of mechanical men.

    “We are the Hexan.”

“Where once we ruled the Galaxy, now we are scattered.”

“Recover our bodies, our champions, and the galaxy shall be yours.”

And with those words, the Star Pharaohs, who had never known anything greater than their own programming and self-perpetuation, dropped to their knees in service to their new masters.

Hexalith comes in 42 parts and has 2 weapon options - both the Hex Cannon and Sarcophagus Ray. Use a 5x3mm magnet on the guns for easy swapping out of weapon options! Printable by both FDM and resin.
